Since 2012, the number of research projects investigating mindfulness has grown exponentially. As a result, there is now good scientific evidence demonstrating its benefits and applications.
Below are links to some of the research evidence available. There are research papers around mindfulness in education in general, as well as research projects specifically investigating the effects of the MiSP (.b and .breathe) programmes. There are also some papers on the effects of mindfulness on teachers and parents, and the benefits that have been identified so far.
Although most of the studies are small and do not have long term follow-ups, they do indicate that the mindfulness programmes have potential to improve psychological wellbeing and attention.
